Shades of Beauty

As each day ends

May we stop to appreciate the shades of beauty gifted to us

Beauty is truly in all that surrounds us

Yet it is seldom viewed equal in all eyes

Sadly, it can be taken for granted for some of us assume it will always be there

Only to find ourselves longing for a glance into the depth of that beauty moments after we lost it

May we all learn to just love and accept not only the unique beauty within ourselves

But in all the people around us from family and friends to those we don't yet know

May we never assume our own view of Beauty is more righteous than another's

For our view may be from another angle, and it is our perception that provides it's depth

For beauty can even be seen within our daily lives and our constant struggles to fight Right vs. Wrong, Good vs. Evil, and Love vs. Hate

It even lies in our ability to communicate with each other

Spoken words, pen to paper or loving gestures

Beauty is in everything we do and say, it may be seen as well as felt

May we all experience it, learn from it, appreciate it, and allow ourselves to not only receive it, but to give it back

These words on beauty are not right or wrong

Just Shades of Beauty for all of us to share.
