Little Girl

Somewhere deep inside of me there is a little girl

She stays close to me ... keeping me in her sights and never wandering too far away

I won't let just anyone near her ... I want her safe, so I keep her tucked away deep inside of me

She cries a lot ... always feeling afraid and alone ... and she rarely comes out to play

She has long brown hair and likes to sing ... trees, rocks and feathers are some of her favorite things

Sometimes she is quite the handful ... she really loves to laugh ... and sometimes she finds herself patiently waiting for summer to arrive ... for this is when she knows her Dad is coming to get her. Then she can laugh out loud and sing ... and sleep without worries or fears

She loves card games and marbles ... carefree days and playing in the garden with her grandpa

Sometimes she just cries and acts out ... please be gentle though ... she is just a little girl trying not to disappoint ... a little girl who doesn't want to cry anymore.
