I mattered ... you mattered ... he mattered ... she mattered

I recall ... and you do too

I shattered ... you stayed intact

I died inside ... you lived on with blinders

I cried ... you rationalized

I coped ... you preached forgiveness trying to present a façade to the world

I escaped ... you created chaos with lies of why I left

I sought safety ... you fell further into your own destructive behaviours

I made the decision to heal and find resolution ... you crucified me yet again by denying my existence and an apology to the little girl that cries in me.
